IPL 2023: Predicted XI of Mumbai Indians (MI) for the season

Bowlers: Kumar Kartikeya, Piyush Chawla, Jofra Archer and Jason Behrendorff

Kumar Kartikeya, who came in as a replacement, left everyone impressed with his skills. He picked 5 wickets in four games last season. If given a chance, he would like to improve his numbers and provide a solid case for himself. Piyush Chawla, on the other hand, is likely to be the main spinner for the side. Mumbai Indians lacked quality spinners last season and hence they picked the veteran spinner.

England pacer Jofra Archer unfortunately missed the IPL 2022 due to an injury. However, he has regained fitness and is likely to make his debut for the Mumbai Indians this season. In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, he will be leading the pace group. His contribution will be crucial in deciding the franchise’s fate.

Mumbai Indians solidified their pace bowling attack by trading Jason Behrendorff from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He was bought by RCB in the 2022 auction but didn’t find any game time last time. However, the case in Mumbai Indians will be different. He is likely to partner Jofra Archer in the pace attack due to his skills and experience.
