Chennai Super Kings bought back Deepak Chahar for INR 14 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction. He is one of the bowlers who can create the much-needed impact in the powerplay overs with his exceptional swing bowling. The right-arm seamer has taken as many as 59 wickets to his name at an economy of 7.8 and has registered his personal best bowling figures of 4/13.

The four-time IPL champions recruited the services of Sri Lanka’s mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana for INR 70 lakh at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru. The 22-year-old Sri Lankan spinner was retained by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. He will be looking forward to weaving the magic with the ball. Having played nine games for CSK, he took 12 wickets.

Mukesh Choudhary is also one of the most talented prospects that the CSK management can count on in the clutch moments. When Deepak Chahar pulled out of the IPL 2022 season owing to an injury, Mukesh Choudhary carved out a niche for himself as the new standout bowler. He had a very good season for CSK as he ended up taking 16 wickets, tied with DJ Bravo for the most wickets by a CSK bowler in a season.
