IPL 2023: 5 Uncapped players who are ready to shine in International Cricket
These young buds can serve their respective nations for a long time.
5. Yashasvi Jaiswal
The 2023 Indian Premier League was a breakthrough season for Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. He has been part of the franchise since the 2020 season but wasn’t able to live up to the expectations in the last few seasons. However, he took the 2023 Indian Premier League by storm with his unreal consistency with the bat.
He slammed 625 runs at an average of 48.08, and a strike rate of 163.61. Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his maiden century this season, against the Mumbai Indians, when he scored 124 runs off 62 deliveries. The left-hander finished the season as the leading run-scorer for the franchise, and the fifth overall.
Jaiswal won the Emerging Player of the Season award for his terrific performance with the bat. He has proved time and again with his performances for Mumbai in domestic cricket, and now for the Rajasthan Royals, that he is a player for the future for Team India.
