2. Riley Meredith
Mumbai Indians signed Riley Meredith for the IPL 2022 as a backup for absentee Jofra Archer. The Aussie pacer had a decent season for the five-time champions as he bagged 8 wickets in 8 matches at an economy rate of 8.42. He was one of their best pacers in a troubled season but the Mumbai Indians released him ahead of the IPL 2023.
After releasing Adam Milne ahead of the auction, Chennai Super Kings need a tearaway pacer in their squad and Riley Meredith is among the limited options. He is fast & furious and can clock over 150 kmph consistently.
Riley Meredith could bloom under the able guidance of MS Dhoni and will be available at a very decent price. The Tasmanian is a genuine wicket-getter and could prove to be a very shrewd signing for the four-time champions.
