Manish Pandey had a terrible last season with Lucknow Super Giants as he could only score 88 runs in 6 matches at an underwhelming strike rate of 110. Subsequently, he was released by LSG ahead of the auction for IPL 2023.

The right-handed batter has been in good form during the ongoing domestic season. Manish Pandey scored 247 runs during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 at an average of 61.75.

CSK needs a solid Indian middle-order batter as the replacement for Robin Uthappa and Manish Pandey could be the perfect candidate. Furthermore, he is likely to be available for a reasonable price.
