IPL 2022: Dhawal Kulkarni joins Mumbai Indians squad for the rest of the season
Mumbai Indians have signed the pace bowler Dhawal Kulkarni for the remainder of the ongoing IPL 2022 season. The Mumbai-based pace bowler was serving as the commentator for the mega-event.
The five-time champions are going through a horror of a season and are yet to open their account. After losing the first eight games, Mumbai Indians have already crashed out of the competition.
Mumbai Indians have particularly struggled in the bowling department and have already tried numerous combinations this season, but nothing seems to be working for them. So, amid all the struggles, Mumbai Indians have turned to Dhawal Kulkarni to elevate their bowling performances.
The Blues have tired Basil Thampi and Jaydev Unadkat alongside Jasprit Bumrah as the Indian pacers. However, how the 33-year-old pacer will fit into the scheme of things still remains to be seen.
Dhawal Kulkarni has already joined Mumbai Indians in the Bio-Bubble
As per reports, the Mumbai-pacer has already joined Mumbai Indians’ team bio-bubble and he is expected to begin the training soon. The right-arm pacer has appeared in 92 IPL matches in his career. He has accounted for 86 wickets at a strike rate of 20.78.
The experienced pacer went unsold in the mega auction ahead of the season. However, the fresh association with Mumbai Indians can give Kulkarni’s IPL career a new lease of life.
Mumbai Indians to face Rajasthan Royals next
