IPL 2021: Virat Kohli consoles out-of-form Ishan Kishan in Dubai

The moment won hearts of the netizens.

Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with Mumbai Indians in the 39th game of the IPL. The intriguing fixture had its moments in both innings. RCB players can take pride in the fact that they dominated Mumbai Indians with ease across all departments.

Virat Kohli & Co posted 165/6 in 20 overs in Dubai. The likes of Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli took the attack to the cleaners. Maxwell top-scored with 56 off just 37 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Virat Kohli chipped in with 51 off 42 balls including 3 fours and as many sixes.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers for MI as he took 3 wickets. Although Mumbai Indians restricted RCB to a decent total, they lacked the killer instinct to go for the win. The defending champions looked confident enough right from the start.

Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock added a 57-run stand for the opening wicket and things were going smoothly. All of a sudden, things changed after Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed De Kock. Glenn Maxwell got rid of Rohit Sharma for 43 off 28 balls (5 fours, 1 six).

Apart from the opening duo, all other players were dismissed for single-digit scores. MI were bowled out for 111 in 18.1 overs. Harshal Patel was the standout performer for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He accounted for four dismissals in 3.4 overs.

He hardly made an impact with the bat as he scored just 107 runs in 8 games at an average of 13.37. Kishan came under fire for his poor batting form and he has a strike rate of 86.99. Meanwhile, RCB beat MI by 54 runs. After the game, Virat Kohli consoled Kishan and offered some valuable tips to him.
