Rishabh Pant proved to be a real case for himself as a viable wicketkeeper-batsman for Team India. He has been in sensational form in the recent times and his transformation was witnessed during the Border Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia where he scored 97 and 89* in the third and fourth Test match at SCG and The Gabba respectively.

His valuable 97 played a crucial role in helping India settle for a draw whereas his match-winning heroics in Brisbane turned out to be the best knock of his career as he steered Team India to victory by hitting a winning boundary. Pant drew plaudits for his batting masterclass and was adjudged the player of the match as well.

His batting form improved further when he scored a valiant 91 in the first Test match against England. His innings was laced with 9 fours and 5 maximums. The 25-year-old wicket-keeper-batsman weaved the magic with the bat once again in the second Test where he remained unbeaten on 58* with the help of 7 fours and 3 hits over the fence.
