The visitors produced a decent batting performance courtesy of twin seventies from Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram. South Africa posted a decent total of 278/7 in 50 overs for India to chase, who replaced one of their batters with an all-rounder in this game.
Chasing the total, India were in some trouble early on as they lost Shubman Gill and the skipper Shikhar Dhawan inside the first nine overs. In such a troubling situation, Ishan Kishan was joined by Shreyas Iyer in the middle.
