Kuldeep Yadav’s last Test match appearance came against England earlier this year. The left arm unorthodox spinner has made 12 appearances for India in Tests. He has taken 53 wickets to his name, including 4 five wicket hauls.

He has played just one Test match against the Tigers, where he has taken 8 wickets to his name, including a five-wicket haul. Mohammed Siraj is another bowler who is expected to cause troubles to the opposition. Having played two Tests against them, he has taken 6 wickets to his name. While Chepauk surface is traditionally known for its spin friendly conditions, there can be some assistance for pacers, especially early on in the game.

Meanwhile, Siraj will look to exploit the conditions in order to trouble the batters. In case the pitch tends to dry out over the course of the game. It paves the way for reverse swing, particularly when the ball becomes older. As a result, Siraj could be highly effective in such conditions.

Overall, Siraj has played a 27 Tests or India and has taken 74 wickets, including 3 five-wicket hauls. Mukesh Kumar is another bowler who will be looking forward to pulling off his tricks. Having made his Test debut against West Indies in 2023, he has played only 3 Tests so far and has taken 7 wickets to his name. He can be effective with the new ball where he can generate movement in the air and off the pitch.

Interestingly, he has got a plethora of experience in domestic cricket, especially in the Ranji Trophy where he has been a key player for Bengal cricket team. As a result, he must have known on how to take wickets in various conditions as his experience will come into the picture.
