“I hope he is paying” – Ellyse Perry on Murali Vijay’s dinner date wish

Ellyse Perry has been stepping up at the right time for RCB-W.

Australia’s premier all-rounder Ellyse Perry has been in tremendous form of late. With two consecutive match-winning knocks, she carried Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCBW) into the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 final.

RCBW had a disheartening inaugural season last year. But they turned the tables with terrific performances in both batting and bowling to reach their maiden WPL final. Perry played a massive role against Mumbai Indians Women (MIW) in successive encounters.

In their last league game, Perry picked up six wickets for just 15 runs and later scored an unbeaten 40-run knock to march her team into the eliminator. During the eliminator against the same side, RCB was under so much pressure. The right-handed batter notched up a vital 66-run knock and took the wicket of Yastika Bhatia. The ‘Play Bold’ army defeated MIW by five runs to earn their place in the final.
