Head coach Ravi Shastri responds to a banter after India beat England within 2 days

After losing the first Test match by 227 runs, Team India bounced back in style and won the second Test by 317 runs to register their biggest ever win over England in the longest format of the game. Talking about the performance of both teams in the pink-ball Test, both teams failed miserably in the first innings.

When England batted first, they were restricted to a mere total of 112 in the first innings while Team India responded with 145. England once again failed to find a rhythm with the bat as they were bowled out for just 81 and thus set up a target of 49 for the hosts.

Team India chased down the target by 10 wickets and took a 2-1 lead in the series. Rohit Sharma who was the top run-scorer in the second Test (161 and 26) once again ended up as the top run-scorer in the third Test as well (66 and 25*). On the other hand, Axar Patel took 6 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. Ravi Ashwin took 3 and 4 wickets in the first and second innings.
