In 2022, the GMR group and JSW sports own Delhi Capitals with the stake of 50% each. In 2008, the GMR Group brought the franchise, formerly known as Delhi Daredevils, for USD 84 million. The GMR group is a property and estate development company.
After a decade, the GMR group sold their 50% of the stake as the JSW sports came on board after buying the half of the share in the franchise for INR 550 crore. The JSW group is one of the India’s biggest multinational conglomerates.
