“Coolest video ever” – AB de Villiers appreciates a fan-made video

AB de Villiers is arguably one of the best cricketers in the world. South African cricket was indeed blessed to have a player like him in their arsenal. With AB de Villiers on their side, the Proteas were far more aggressive in the batting attack.

As a result, they were able to pile up runs and post colossal totals. AB de Villiers holds the record of scoring the fastest fifty, hundred and 150 in international cricket. The world-class cricketer accomplished the feat against West Indies.

He is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. The Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman was named as the ICC ODI Player of the Year three times during his 15-year international career. On top of that, he has a fabulous average of 63.52 in World Cups.

Interestingly, he is also the only batsman to average over 50 with a strike rate of above 100 (batsmen with a minimum of 5000 runs in ODIs). The attacking player holds the record of the fastest century in ODIs. He managed to achieve the feat in 31 balls.

AB de Villiers appreciates fan-made video

The star cricketer who skippered Proteas across formats announced his retirement from all cricket in 2018. However, he expressed his interest to make an international comeback and play for South Africa in the 2020 T20 World Cup.

Nonetheless, in May 2021, he confirmed via Cricket South Africa that he will not come out of retirement. However, he is continuing to entertain his fans by playing domestic T20 leagues across the globe. The stalwart has a massive fan following across the world.

He is one of the cricketers with the least haters. Recently, a fan-made an entire compilation of AB de Villiers’ sixes. The video clip that lasts a minute contains several sixes hammered by AB de Villiers. The clip has Martin Garix’s famous party anthem ‘Animals’ in the background.

The video went viral on the internet and it also caught the attention of AB de Villiers. The former Proteas captain replied with “This is so well done. Thank You.” The caption of the video starts with: “We are f**king Animals”. The legendary cricketer replied with: “We may get rid of the bad language though. Other than that, coolest video ever.”
