‘Come to CSK’ – Ravindra Jadeja asks Srikar Bharat to join the Yellow Army
Delhi Capitals released Srikar Bharat ahead of IPL 2023 auction.
India’s premier T20 competition has completed 15 editions successfully since its entry in 2008. Since then, the cricket fraternity has witnessed a plethora of entertaining scenes, raw emotions and nail-biting encounters at the best scene. With the IPL 2023 auction not far away from going all guns blazing, all the respective 10 franchises have submitted a list of retained and released players just a couple of days ago.
The upcoming IPL 2023 auction is expected to be held in Kochi on December 23. While the teams retained some of their best players, they had to make some tough calls by releasing some players as well. Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals franchise released their wicketkeeper-batsman Kona Srikar Bharat from their set-up.
For the unversed, the Delhi-based franchise acquired the services of the Andhra Pradesh wicketkeeper for his base price of INR 2 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru. Interestingly, Chennai Super Kings also tried to bid for the wicketkeeper but Delhi Capitals won the race by signing the 29-year-old at the auction.

Ravindra Jadeja tries to convince Srikar Bharat to join CSK
Meanwhile, an Instagram post featuring Ravindra Jadeja trying to convince Srikar Bharat to join Chennai Super Kings has been doing the rounds on the internet. It all started when Ravindra Jadeja posted a picture of himself gesturing towards MS Dhoni along with the caption that reads, “Everything is fine with a yellow colored heart emoji” including a hashtag that reads #restart.
KS Bharat, who stumbled upon the post on his Instagram feed, decided to drop in with two yellow heart emojis. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja, who came across the comment, decided to use this as a chance to convince the wicketkeeper to join the yellow army. In reply to KS Bharat’s comment, Jadeja tagged the wicketkeeper and wrote, “Come to CSK.”
It remains to be seen what the future holds in store for KS Bharat at the IPL 2023 auction. Meanwhile, CSK finished 9th on the IPL 2022 group stage points table, winning four games and losing the rest of the ten matches. The four-time IPL champions would definitely be giving it their best shot in the upcoming season of the IPL to gun for the fifth trophy.
