“Boom-Boom Bumrah” – Twitter set ablaze as Jasprit Bumrah rattles England’s top order
What a bowler this guy is! No matter what the format is, whenever the Indian team needs a statement from their bowling, this guy puts his hands up and delivers for his skipper. On Tuesday, Jasprit Bumrah was on absolute fire as he dismantled England’s top-order batting with four wickets in the first four overs.
India are up against England in the first ODI of the three-match series at Kennington Oval, London. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first on a green wicket in overcast conditions. Bowling first, India were looking to make some early inroads against a strong English batting unit.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami give India a perfect start
The pace duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami came out all guns blazing and made the life of English batters miserable. Such was the dominance of the Indian pacers that three of the top four English batters failed to open their batting account, including four of the top six couldn’t open their account.
India made a perfect start as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Jason Roy and Joe Root in the 2nd over of the innings. Next up was Mohammad Shami who dismissed Ben Stokes next to dent the English batting. Boom-Boom then removed Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone to reduce England to 26/5 in the 8th over.
The wicketkeeper Jos Buttler was the only batter to negate the Indian bowling. He looked more assured than others in the middle. He was joined by Moeen Ali as the duo was trying to fight England out of the mud but a brilliant caught and bowled from Prasidh Krishna ended England’s hopes. The tall pacer dismissed the left-hand all-rounder in the 14th over to reduce England to 53/6.
Meanwhile, the fans were in the awe of the pace ace Jasprit Bumrah as they took Twitter to praise the Indian pacer.

English team trying their best to finish this match early so that Indian fans don’t have to stay up late night. Such a kind and helpful opposition. 😇 #EngvsInd pic.twitter.com/PK4g6n08v6
