Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has recently been hogging the limelight for all the right reasons. After scoring two centuries in the ODI series against Australia, the numero uno T20I batter played a superb knock of 66 runs off 46 deliveries in the only T20I against the visitors.

However, the highlight of Babar’s knock was a sensational six he hit off Ben Dwarshius’s bowling.

Babar Azam took charge against the Aussies

Batting first, Pakistan made a steady start after adding 40 runs for no loss after 5 overs. However, the skipper decided to maximize the last over of the powerplay and put the young pacer Ben Dwarshius to the sword, who came to bowl the 6th over of the Pakistan innings.

On the 5th delivery, Babar Azam sent Dwarshius for an 82M six over the cover. The shot was ‘a poetry in motion’ owing to the bat flow of the supreme batter.

Babar and Rizwan scored 21 runs off the 6th over to finish the powerplay.

Australia signed off the Pakistan tour on a high

The Kangaroos managed to sign off the historic Pakistan tour on a high after winning the only T20I by 3 wickets. Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 162/8 in 20 overs courtesy of a batting masterclass of Babar Azam.

However, the hosts failed to defend the total as the young Aussie team completed the chase with three wickets in hand. Skipper Aaron Finch led his side from the front, scoring 55 runs off 45 deliveries.

Australia began the tour winning the three-test series 1-0 under the leadership of Pat Cummins. In the ODI series, Babar Azam exploded with the bat and helped Pakistan win the three-match ODI series 2-1.

Pakistan were determined to avenge their T20 World Cup semifinal loss in the only T20I game, but a poor show from the Pakistan middle-order didn’t help their cause.
