When Alastair Cook made his International debut against India in a test series in India in 2006, the left-hander made an impression in everyone’s mind. In the first test at Nagpur, he scored 60 & 106 in both innings respectively. The opener was technically solid and adapted well to all types of conditions. His footwork helped him play the spinners well on subcontinent wickets while his batting revolved around timing and placement.
Cook never tried to hit the ball hard but it was his effortless timing that stood out. List Alastair Cook’s Test Centuries
The left-hander was technically correct with his footwork and strokeplay that enabled him to sustain in test cricket for 12 years. The former skipper had all the shots in the book. His cover drives and backfoot punches were a treat to watch. Cook scored 33 centuries and 57 half-centuries in his test career with a highest score of 294 registering 12472 runs with an average of 45.35. He made his test debut at the age of 21 against India in Nagpur in March 2006. Cook scored runs in all conditions and possessed a technique that helped him score runs on all kinds of wickets. Cook’s temperament and patience allowed him to stay at the wicket for longer durations in test matches.

List of Alastair Cook’s ODI Centuries
Cook made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in June 2007. The left-hander scored his first ODI century against India at the Rose Bowl Stadium, in Southampton. The former skipper had the temperament to play in the limited-overs format. He played his last ODI against Sri Lanka in December 2014. He scored 3204 runs in 92 ODIs averaging 36.40 with a highest score of 137. He scored 5 centuries and 19 half-centuries in his limited-overs career.
