Watch: Mukesh Choudhary celebrates in style after dismissing Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the first over
After so much hype and build-up to the Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians game, the fans were hit by an anti-climax as the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan got out without opening their respective accounts in the first over of the game, bowled by Mukesh Choudhary.
It sums up the kind of season Mumbai Indians are having. After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings skipper Ravindra Jadeja opted to field first. Both sides made two changes to their respective sides. While CSK brought in Mitchell Santner and Dwaine Pretorius for Chris Jordan and Moeen Ali, Mumbai Indians played Riley Meredith and Daniel Sams for Tymal Mills and Fabian Allen.
CSK are off to a perfect start as Rohit Sharma goes out for a silver duck, Ishan Kishan follows
The Hitman and Ishan Kishan entered the arena to provide a solid start to the five-time champions. Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Mukesh Chaudhary took the new-ball responsibility for the Yellow Army.
Choudhary bowled an accurate yorker on the first delivery, which Rohit managed to defend from the crease. However, he tried to flick the 2nd delivery over the mid-wicket. It was a fuller-inswinging delivery from Mukesh Choudhary, and the Hitman failed to time it properly. The ball lobbed to the mid-on, where Mitchell Santner made no mistake.

Ishan Kishan faced Choudhary on the 5th delivery of the over as Dewald Brevis took a single on the 4th delivery. Mukesh Choudhary bowled a ripping away swinging yorker to beat Ishan Kishan on the outside edge. However, the off-stump was pegged back as Kishan lost his balance and went down on the pitch. There could not be a better sight for a pace bowler.
