India and Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer recently indulged in a funny conversation with an actress on the social media platform Instagram.
Iyer was retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 as the Kolkata-based franchise retained Venkatesh as the 3rd pick for INR 8 crores. Venkatesh Iyer was monumental in Kolkata’s surge to the final. He finished the IPL 2021 with 370 runs in 10 matches, averaging over 41. The all-rounder also managed to account for three wickets with the ball.
Not many cricket fans were aware of Iyer’s talent until the UAE leg of the IPL 2021 season. However, the 27-year-old’s all-round exploits for the ‘Team in Purple’ made him an instant hit among the cricketing circles. Venkatesh Iyer soon went on to play in the national colors based on IPL performance and made his T20 debut against the Kiwis.

How have KKR fared in IPL 2022 so far?
Kolkata Knight Riders have made a strong start to their IPL 2022 campaign as they sit 2nd in the points table with two wins and a single loss after three matches. However, Venkatesh Iyer has failed to make an impact this season as the all-rounder has scored only 29 runs in the first three games. He will be looking to change gears and get back to his best soon.
