Following the marquee tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named Rohit Sharma as the new T20I captain of India. It is indeed a big decision by the Indian apex cricket body. BCCI also roped in Rahul Dravid as the chief coach of the Indian cricket team.

Lokesh Rahul has been appointed the vice-captain of the Indian team. The BCCI already announced the squad for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand.
