On multiple occasions, they have been spotted talking to each other ahead of the match. On Saturday, in a video that surfaced on social media, Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani was seen talking to Team India’s mentor MS Dhoni.

Both of them were involved in a brief conversation as well and interestingly, Dahani was heard saying, “Aap Dhoni hain…mai Dahani hoon.” In response, MS Dhoni said, “I am getting older now.” Shahnawaz came up with a cheeky response to former India cricketer’s fitness saying, “No, you’re even fitter than before.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President asserted that they wanted to have MS Dhoni on board for a long time now and that the association will hopefully reap benefits.

“Jay (Shah) and I were discussing for a long time about how to involve Dhoni. He has won 2 World Cups after all and has not left cricket completely. Hopefully, he will be a good addition. It can’t possibly be bad. Let’s see,” Sourav Ganguly said while talking to Salam Cricket.

MS Dhoni can also be seen in action helping young wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant with their wicket-keeping skills. He was also seen giving throwdowns to the batsmen during the training sessions.
