Test cricket awakens raw emotions, especially during the fourth innings. As the format says, each team gets to play two innings apiece. The intensity, thrill and riveting action would amplify when the team is either chasing the target or defending it.
However, there is absolutely no doubt that the deserving team would clinch a win. The longest and purest form of the game has seen a plethora of unbelievable moments in the passage of play. Teams winning by margins in international cricket is a rare case scenario.

The beauty of Test cricket sparked yet another chapter in the cricketing folklore. It was when Pakistan locked horns with West Indies in the first Test match in Jamaica. Pakistan literally gave everything to seal the deal but the Caribbeans pulled off the ropes from the jaws of the defeat.
When the visitors managed to set up a target of 168, the onus was on them to take all the 10 wickets on the final day. Pakistani seamers Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali took 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Faheem Ashraf took 2 wickets to his name. However, Kemar Roach (30) and Jayden Seales (2) guided the home to a memorable one-run victory.

West Indies might have pulled off a win but there was one moment that almost convinced Pakistan would win the game. When Pakistan required 2 more wickets to win the game, Hasan Ali was brought into action to make a difference.
The pacer delivered a short-pitched ball that tempted Jomel Warrican to pull it but he only managed to get a top edge. The ball travelled behind and the fine leg fielder was positioned to give it a try. Meanwhile, one of the current best wicket-keepers, Mohammad Rizwan covered a long distance and took a stunning catch.
Despite losing the 9th wicket, West Indies added 17 more runs to win the game. Jayden Seales was adjudged the Player of the Match for his fifer in the second innings and three wickets in the first innings. West Indies took a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. The second Test will begin at Sabina Park, Kingston in Jamaica on August 20.
