Wicketkeeper batter Dhruv Jurel took out a unique salute celebration from his armoury to celebrate his maiden Test fifty in the ongoing fourth match between India and England.
Playing his second Test match for Team India, Dhruv showed great temperament and skills to bring up his maiden half-century. He along Kuldeep Yadav pulled out his team from a difficult situation.
After reaching the 50 mark, the 23-year-old did a salute celebration to dedicate the special knock to his father, Nem Singh Jurel, who is a Kargil War veteran. Earlier, the batter also said that his father is his hero and mentor.
Jurel batted and faced more than 100 balls to reach the milestone. His defensive approach is a testimony to his solid batting technique. He adopted himself really well to live up to the demands. He is also marching towards the three-figure mark as we write this piece.

Dhruv Jurel’s inspiring story
Dhruv Jurel comes from a lower middle-class family and struggled a lot to make it into the ranks. He left Agra at the age of 14 without any company to join Noida’s most famous coach Phool Chand’s academy.
In the initial stages, his father was unconvinced of the idea of him becoming a cricketer. However, the situation changed as he started making progress in his cricketing career.
Dhruv’s mother supported him unconditionally and sold her gold jewellery to buy him his first cricket kit. Fortunately, the investments have been paying off the dividends now.
The Agra-based batter is a prominent talent that the Men in Blue would like to groom for the long term. He has impressed everyone with his performances in his short career so far.
