“I can’t wait” – Cameron Green sends a special message to RCB fans after joining the family
Australia’s all-rounder Cameron Green is set to kick-start the new chapter of his IPL career as he has been traded from Mumbai Indians to Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. The all-rounder has switched his colour from “blue” to “red” and it remains to be seen how the young prospect will live up to his reputation in the 17th edition of the IPL.
For the record, Mumbai Indians acquired the services of the 24-year-old for INR 17.5 crore in the previous year’s auction. He made his IPL debut in IPL 2023 wherein he played all 16 games for Mumbai Indians, delivering the goods with the bat and ball when it mattered the most. Green did justify his price tag by ticking the boxes in the areas of batting, bowling and fielding respectively.
It is worth noting that he scored 452 runs at an average of 50.22. Moreover, he maintained an exceptional strike rate of 160.28. Overall, he scored two half-centuries and a century. Besides that, he played impactful knocks when the team required and drew plaudits for his all-round work rate. On the contrary, the Perth-born cricketer accounted for six dismissals and took six catches to his name.

Cameron Green expresses his delight upon joining RCB family
The Australian cricketer couldn’t be any happier upon shifting his base to Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the upcoming auction. He will be sharing the dressing room with Virat Kohli and other marquee players. It will be interesting to see what the future holds in store for the power-packed all-rounder.
Meanwhile, the cricketer was entranced when he shared a special message to the RCB fans after joining the RCB family. He said, “Hi RCB fans, this is Cameron Green here. I just wanted to say how excited I am to be joining Andy Flower and the team. I can’t wait to see you guys soon at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Cheers.”
