Players with most centuries in IPL history
Getting a hundred in T20 cricket is not an easy task at all.
In earlier times, reaching the three-figure mark for batters seemed kind of an impossible task and it used to be a very rare sight where players removed their helmets and celebrated a century. But as the game of cricket started evolving and growing, players scoring centuries in Test cricket and ODI cricket became very common. It became so common that the legendary Sachin Tendulkar hit 100 of those in his career.
In the past 10 years or so, centuries in the T20 format have also become popular, and more so after the growth of franchise cricket. Players are now hitting centuries for fun in all formats of the game because the game has evolved so much. It won’t be shocking to any cricket viewer if a player scores a double century in T20 cricket or a triple century in ODI cricket in the coming years.

1. Virat Kohli – 7 Hundreds
The Run Machine, Virat Kohli is the batter with the most number of centuries in the history of the IPL. He has scored seven hundreds so far and is the only player with more than 7000 runs to his name. In the 2016 season alone, he smashed four centuries and etched massive records.
2. Chris Gayle – 6 Hundreds
The Universe Boss who was the legend of this T20 format during the peak of his career holds another exciting record in the Indian Premier League. Gayle holds the record for scoring second-most centuries in IPL’s history. He has 6 centuries to his name and has scored 4,965 runs in his IPL career. He always created a difference between the two sides and is one of the guys with most man of the match awards in IPL.
3. Jos Buttler – 5 Hundreds
The mighty opener from England, Jos Buttler has 5 IPL centuries to his name. Buttler’s IPL career has been on the rise for the past 3-4 years now and he has been absolutely phenomenal with the willow in his hand. Jos Buttler is one of the players who have changed the style of batting completely in T20 cricket and have bought a revolution.
4. KL Rahul – 4 Hundreds
India and Karnataka player, KL Rahul who has 4,163 IPL runs to his name also has hit 4 centuries in his IPL career. Rahul has been very good in IPL and has scored runs for every team he has played for in the league. His highest score in the tournament is 132* runs, which came against RCB.
5. David Warner – 4 Hundreds
The Southpaw from Australia is a completely established figure in the IPL. He has been absolutely brilliant in the league from the very first season and has scored 6,311 runs along with 4 centuries. Warner is the fifth player in the list of players who have scored most centuries in IPL.
