IND vs AUS 2022: Twitter erupts as India seal the T20I series against World Champions Australia
India and their love affair with the bilateral series at home continue as Men in Blue defeated Australia in a thriller of a game to seal the three-match T20I series 2-1. With the series levelled at 1-1 after the first two matches, India squared off against Australia in the 3rd and final game of the series at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday evening.
India skipper Rohit Sharma won the vital toss and invited Aaron Finch & co. to bat first. The T20 World Cup champions came out with the intent and took Indian bowling to the cleaners. Cameron Green went berserk from the word go and threatened to take the game away from the hosts. However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got him out and brought Team India back into the game.
Team India tightened the screws in the middle over courtesy of a brilliant spell of spin bowling from Axar Patel. However, a blistering half-century from Tim David brought back Australia to the game as the visitors managed to post a total of 186/7 in 20 overs.
Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav win the match for India
Chasing the massive total, India were dealt with an early blow as KL Rahul got out in the very first over. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also failed to get going tonight as he returned to the hut soon after. However, Suryakumar Yadav joined forces with Virat Kohli in the middle as the duo added 104 runs off 62 deliveries for the 3rd wicket to once again tilt the balance in India’s favour. Once SKY got out for brilliant 69 runs off 36 deliveries, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya took India closer to the target.

In the end, Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten to take India home as the hosts completed a 6-wicket victory on the 2nd last delivery of the game. Fans could not keep calm as they praised Team India for the massive victory.
