Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are quite popular for their bond on and off the field. The duo share an unbreakable bond since both players started playing together for the franchise. The former South African skipper, however, retired from cricket after featuring in the IPL 2021 and wasn’t a part of the mega tournament this year.

ABD is arguably the most-loved foreign player ever to feature in the Indian Premier League. The RCB fans still miss the charismatic batter dearly and it was visible during the 15th edition of the IPL. He alongside Virat Kohli was RCB’s biggest match-winner and the duo shared many match-winning partnerships together.

One can estimate the craze of the AB’s popularity that recently a picture of him alongside Virat Kohli surfaces on social media. It was a picture of an auto-rickshaw that has a poster of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli together on its backside.

The former South African skipper saw the post on Twitter and dropped a heart while replying to it.

AB de Villiers had a stellar IPL career before calling it quits. Mr 360 degrees amassed 5162 runs in 184 IPL games averaging 39.71. The destructive batter maintained a career strike rate of 151.69 and smashed three centuries and 40 half-centuries in his IPL career.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore, despite being the most popular franchise, is yet to win their maiden IPL title. They have reached the final three times but ended up as runners-up on all three occasions.

The RCB have also managed to reach the IPL playoffs on the last three occasions but failed to reach the final. In the IPL 2022, they managed to clear the Eliminator hurdle by defeating Lucknow Super Giants but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the 2nd Qualifier to fall short once again.
