With Jofra Archer injured and unavailable for the IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians put their faith in English pacer Tymall Mills. The franchise signed him for INR 1.5 crore in the auctions. The left-handed pacer was supposed to take care of the death bowling for them but the move didn’t work out.

Tymal Mills had an utterly disappointing season with the five-time champions as he picked up only 6 wickets in 5 matches in the IPL 2022. At the same time, his economy rate was alarming as the left-handed pacer gave away runs at an economy rate of 11.17.

With Jofra Archer likely to join Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023, the franchise will look to release Tymal Mills and invest that amount in some other talent.
