5 players Mumbai Indians can release ahead of IPL 2023
Mumbai Indians will be eyeing a comeback after a poor outing last season.
4. Jaydev Unadkat
To bolster their weak bowling attack, Mumbai Indians signed seasoned pacer Jaydev Unadkat for INR 1.3 crore in the auction for IPL 2022. The left-handed pacer is a domestic veteran and also has plenty of experience playing in the Indian Premier League.
However, Jaydev Unadkat had an underwhelming run with the five-time champions. He accounted for 6 wickets in 5 matches for the franchise at an average of 31.66. However, he had a pretty high economy rate of 9.60.
Jaydev Unadkat completely failed to support Jasprit Bumrah in the pace bowling department and Mumbai Indians are likely to release him ahead of next season. It will be a better option for them if they look to invest the money in a youngster keeping the future in mind.
