Even as his batting role evolved, he delivered valuable runs as a pinch hitter. Overall, he has played 177 games wherein he scored 1534 runs at a staggering strike rate of 165.8, including one century and seven half centuries. On the other hand, he has taken 180 wickets to his name at an impressive economy rate of 6.73, including 7 four-wicket hauls and a solitary five-wicket haul.
