4. KS Bharat
KS Bharat has been a regular feature of Indian domestic cricket for a while now. In fact, the right-handed wicketkeeper-batter is also the backup to Rishabh Pant in the Indian Test squad. Bharat has amassed 4425 runs averaging 37.50 in 82 First-Class matches.
KS Bharat had a solid season in IPL 2021 with Royal Challengers Bangalore as he managed to score 191 runs in 8 matches at a strike rate of over 122. Hence, Delhi Capitals shelled out INR 2 crore to sign him at the auction for IPL 2022. However, Bharat only got two matches for Delhi Capitals last season and could only manage 8 runs in those two outings.
Delhi Capitals have a stacked batting unit with the presence of David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, and Rishabh Pant. The wicketkeeper-batter might not get any game-time this season as well. Hence, Delhi Capitals might opt to release him ahead of this season and free INR 2 crore for their purse going to the mini-auction.
