5 big names who might be retained for Rs 20 crore ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction
4. Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant recently dropped a hint on his social media ex handle about leaving his team and heading into the auction. His social media post spread like wildfire, which triggered plenty of netizens to come up with their views and opinions in the comments section.
The Roorkee-born cricketer has been a part of the Delhi-based franchise since his debut season in 2016. However, in order to tempt him at the auction table, Delhi Capitals might have to retain him for a record sum of INR 20 crore. Overall, he has made 111 appearances in the IPL, wherein he scored 3284 runs at an average of 35.3 and a strike-rate of 148.9, including one century and 18 half centuries.
5. Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer is one of the big names who might be retained for a huge price of INR 20 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Under his captaincy, KKR braved the challenges and defeated SRH in the final to clinch their third title last year, which ended the team’s 10-year-drought.
As a result, his retention should be no surprise. With many other teams in pursuit of a new skipper, it is highly likely that KKR could offer a huge sum of INR 20 crore to retain him.
