Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is one of the big names who might be retained for INR 20 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. There has been a lot of question marks surrounding his future ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.

If reports doing the rounds are to be believed, Rohit Sharma is contemplating to part ways with Mumbai Indians. Recently, reports claimed that Mumbai Indians is all set to retain Rohit Sharma despite stripping him off captaincy duties in the IPL 2024 season. Hardik Pandya who was traded to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans for INR 16 crores was named the captain of Mumbai Indians.

Under his captaincy, Mumbai Indians finished at the rock bottom of the points table and failed to qualify for the playoffs. Rohit Sharma has been a part of the IPL since the inception where he made 257 appearances in the competition and scored 6,628 runs at an average of 29.7 and a strike rate of 131.1, including two centuries and 43 half centuries.

3. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya who represented Mumbai Indians from 2015 to 2021, was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. The Ahmedabad-based franchise signed him for INR 15 crores at the IPL 2022 auction.

Under his captaincy, Gujarat Titans who won the title in the debut season and in the subsequent season, they made it all the way to the finals but surrendered at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the final. Hardik Pandya is one of the players.

Mumbai Indians are likely to retain him ahead of the mega auction. It is a huge possibility that they might offer him an improved contract as Hardik Pandya could earn INR 20 crore.
