Earlier this year, Ishan Kishan was included in India’s squad for the first two Test matches against Australia. But he couldn’t make his Test debut as KS Bharat was preferred over him.
If KL Rahul gets ruled out of the final match, the management would be forced to bring in a backup wicketkeeper batter. In that scenario, Kishan will be the prime runner in the race.
Kishan is reliable with the gloves and has enough experience of International cricket. However, it will be interesting to see how he fits himself in the purest format of the game, given his aggressive nature of batting.
