The right-handed Karnataka batter was supposed to be one of the key batters for the Lucknow Super Giants as the franchise spent big bucks to sign him at the auction for IPL 2022. The team management entrusted Manish Pandey to bat at number three but the senior pro completely failed to get going.

In 6 matches, Manish Pandey scored only 88 runs at a disappointing strike rate of 110. Subsequently, he was dropped from the playing XI and Deepak Hooda was promoted up in the batting order.

Manish Pandey has performed well in the recently-concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and there will be no shortage of franchises looking to sign him to bolster their middle order. Hence, if a team matches his asking price, the Lucknow Super Giants are likely to trade Manish Pandey in the trade window ahead of IPL 2023.
