The final game of the series is scheduled to begin on the 1st of July and now the Indian opener is in a race against the time to recover completely.
It won’t be easy for Team India to cope-up with Rohit’s unavailability as they are already without the services of their other star opener KL Rahul. Hanuma Vihari has already opened for India once during the 2020 Australia tour. The right-handed batter has the technique and ability to face the new cherry in the swinging conditions. In such a case, Shreyas Iyer could be slotted at number five in the Indian batting unit.
