Yashasvi Jaiswal is all-format star for the future: Mohammad Kaif

Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has heaped praises for emerging Indian star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal after he scored another century in the ongoing Test match against England at Rajkot.

Acknowleding his talent, Kaif took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that Yasahasvi will become an all-format star in the future. He wrote this while retweeting his old tweet about the young cricketer.

In the old tweet which was posted during the IPL 2023, the 43-year-old had lauded the left-handed batter for his skills against spinners. He had also predicted that Yashasvi will wear the Indian jersey soon, which turned out to be correct.

Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes his third Test century

After an enormous doube-century in the second Test match, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit another century on third day of the third Test match. Having dismissed for just 10 runs in the first innings, he was eager to turn the tables once again.

In the second innings, the opener took his time to settle down. Once he crossed the fifty-mark, he didn’t look back and took the English bowlers on remand. Starting off with the veteran James Anderson, he smashed every bowler that came his way, especially the spinners.

Jaiswal raced to the three-mark figure with a healthy strike-rate. However, he was retired hurt on 104 towards the end of the play. He was appluaded by the whole crowd when he walked back to the pavilion.

Team India are on the right track

Team India are in an advantageous position with a lead of 322 runs after the end of third day. With eight wickets in hand, they are marching towards setting a mammoth total for the visitors.

The Men in Blue have a great chance to seal the match and lead the series 2-1. They will also receive a boost if veteran spinner Ravi Ashwin, who left the match midway for personal reasons, rejoins the group and start bowling for his side.
