WATCH: Sky Sports unveils new promo for Virat Kohli ahead of England Tests

Virat Kohli recently completed 140 million followers on Instagram.

Indian captain Virat Kohli’s batting form has been a matter of concern. It’s been almost two years since he scored a century in international cricket. Although he has been producing decent performances, he couldn’t produce a complete performance on the field.

The skipper lost his Midas touch with the bat for a long time now. His last international century came against Bangladesh in 2019. He completed the milestone during the Day-Night Test match at the iconic Eden Gardens. Since then, it’s been a series of average performances.

He played 14 innings wherein he managed to smash only three half-centuries. It is indeed a mediocre form considering a player of that calibre. His recent form in reads: 2, 19, 3, 14, 74, 4, 11, 72, 0, 62, 27, 44, and 13. In addition, the veteran captain averages only 24.64 with the bat in the last 14 innings.

As if that wasn’t enough, he has a poor batting average away from home. The Indian captain has an average of 21.62 in overseas conditions. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old would like to forget his recent form and focus on the upcoming challenge against England.

England will cross swords with India in the five-match Test series. The first Test is scheduled to be played at Trent Bridge on Nottingham on August 4. It will be quite interesting to see how Virat Kohli & Co respond to the big challenge.
