After Virat Kohli scored his first half-century of the IPL 2022, the fans were hoping to see some runs off Rohit Sharma’s bat as Mumbai Indians are up against Rajasthan Royals in the 44th match of the IPL 2022. However, the birthday boy failed to live up to the expectations as the off-spinner Ravi Ashwin dismissed the Hitman for a score of 2 runs.

Rohit Sharma’s poor run with the bat has been extended to one more game as the Mumbai Indians’ skipper has struggled to score big runs this season. Meanwhile, Ravi Ashwin is having a decent season with Rajasthan Royals, and he celebrated Rohit’s wicket with a ton of excitement.

However, the offie’s wife, Prithi Narayanan, didn’t celebrate the Hitman’s wicket as much as her husband did. She consoled Rohit Sharma’s Wife, Ritika Sajdeh instead, who was devastated in the stands.

Ashwin came to bowl the 3rd over of the Mumbai Indians’ innings, and the Indian skipper tried to play a slog-sweep on the 3rd delivery. But the ball took the top edge due to some extra bounce, and Daryl Mitchell gobbled an easy catch at the square leg.

Rohit Sharma failed to play a substantial knock on his birthday night, and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, was pretty upset in the stands. At that moment, Prithi Ashwin chose to console her instead of celebrating her husband’s wicket in a beautiful gesture.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first. The five-time champions did a decent job with the bowl to restrict the Royals to 158/6 in 20 overs.

Chasing the total, Mumbai Indians lost their skipper and Ishan Kishan early but Tilak Verma and Suryakumar Yadav steadied the ship. At the time of writing, Mumbai Indians required 46 runs on 36 deliveries with eight wickets in hand.
