Kevin Pietersen has been one of the most vital players in England’s cricket history. The former England cricketer has entertained the fans with his superb style of batting. His ability to combine the innings with caution and aggression made him a class apart from most other English batters of his heydays.
Moreover, he played a consistent brand of cricket. He scored 8181 runs in Tests at an average of 47.3, where he scored 23 centuries and 35 fifties in this format. Pietersen also scored three double centuries in the longest format of the game.
Coming to the ODIs, he scored 4440 runs at an average of 40.7 including 9 centuries and 25 fifties. As far as the T20I format is concerned, he aggregated 1176 runs at an average of 37.94. He smashed as many as 7 half-centuries to his name.
After his retirement from all forms of cricket, he is enjoying the role of commentator. Besides that, he has been quite active on social media platforms. Recently, Pietersen and India’s veteran cricketer Dinesh Karthik were spotted playing a funny game and the video of which went viral on the internet.
We all know that Dinesh Karthik has temporarily taken a break from the game and has switched to commentary. He made his commentary debut during the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
Dinesh Karthik surprises Kevin Pietersen with his throw
Both the stalwarts were involved in a funny incident when Pietersen delivered a power-hitting demo. On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik bowled some questionable deliveries to Pietersen and the former didn’t even expect it in the first place. Pietersen was taken aback by Dinesh Karthik’s throw.
The ball nearly went on to hit the South African-born star but the latter dodged it immediately. Although Dinesh Karthik found it funny but Pietersen was not ready to forget it. He even took to his official Twitter handle and wrote that he will never forget this incident. “DK, I WILL NOT FORGET this! @robkey612 always the instigator! Rolling on the floor laughingHundred points symbol.”
