WATCH: Kagiso Rabada gets his perfect revenge on Chris Gayle after being thumped for a huge six

South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has always been the key to Delhi Capitals’ bowling line-up. The right-arm fast bowler played an integral role in the team’s run to the semifinals of the IPL 2019 season when he bagged 25 wickets to his name. 

The Proteas pacer continued to be more ruthless in the following season where he accounted for 30 dismissals to his name and helped Delhi Capitals reach the maiden IPL final in history. Rabada has been once again delivering the goods for his side in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

Having played 7 games for the Capitals, the right-arm seamer took 8 wickets with subtle bowling variations of good line and length. His stocks in international and domestic cricket have risen sharply. He has maintained a bowling average of 28.50 this season with an economy of 8.76.

Rabada registered his best bowling figures of 3/36 against Punjab Kings in the recently-concluded match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad where he got rid of three players namely PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh, Universe Boss Gayle and England’s Chris Jordan.

During the last over of the powerplay, Chris Gayle was looking to get dangerous and his devastation was there for everyone to see when he smashed a six off Kagiso Rabada’s bowling. The West Indies international tried to make most of the fielding restrictions by adding as many runs in the powerplay. 

Rabada was smoked for a huge six off Gayle but the Proteas pacer made a stellar rebound in the next ball. Rabada attempted to bowl a pacy yorker but his execution turned out to be a lethal full toss. Rabada stunned the Universe Boss with such delivery. 


As it happened, Gayle tried to defend the ball but the ball beat him completely and sent his off-stump for a walk. Rabada got his revenge on the ferocious batsman as the latter walked back to the pavilion after scoring 13 off 9 balls including 1 four, 1 six.
