WATCH: India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya spotted singing Sri Lanka’s national anthem
Hardik Pandya's video singing Sri Lanka's national anthem has gone viral on social media.
India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been out of form for quite a while now. He is currently part of the ongoing tour of Sri Lanka. However, he has yet to unleash his true potential in any of the games. Hardik played in the three-match ODI series but didn’t make a name for himself.
Being a senior cricketer, he was supposed to lead the team by example. But, he failed to deliver the goods when it mattered the most. In the recently-concluded first T20I against Sri Lanka, Hardik once again got out cheaply as he made only 10 runs off 12 balls.
Usually, Hardik Pandya is someone who scores runs at a swift pace but this time around, he consumed too many deliveries before getting dismissed by Chameera. We all know that Hardik often hits the headlines for his on-field antics.

The Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya became the talking point on social media ahead of the T20I opener against Sri Lanka in Colombo. In fact, he won the heart of the fans with a sweet gesture. Usually, before any international match kicks off, the national anthems of both teams are played. Likewise, the tradition was followed before the T20I between the two teams.
As per the rules, the national anthem of the visiting team was played first. Following India’s national anthem, Sri Lanka’s national anthem started playing. Meanwhile, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya was spotted singing the anthem. Hardik took everyone by surprise with his gesture.
It was indeed surprising to see him sing the hosts’ anthem nonchalantly. The fans recorded the video clip and posted it on social media. The video spread like wildfire across social media portals. On the other hand, his current form is a matter of concern for India.

He hasn’t been good with the ball either. With T20 World Cup set to be staged in the UAE this year, Hardik Pandya doesn’t have much time to rediscover his form. With two more T20Is remaining, Hardik will look to make most of the chances to better effect.
