What do you hope for when you are searching for the form and looking to score some runs? The answer is pretty simple – good luck. However, one can simply put Virat Kohli’s name as the synonym for the word unlucky as the Indian superstar once again fell in an unusual manner.
In the 2nd innings of the fifth and the final Test against England Virat Kohli was looking good and got a decent start. However, luck has deserted him amid the poor form, hence, he once again got out in another laughable manner.
Currently, India are up against England in Edgbaston with an eye on the Test series victory on English soil. Batting first after losing the toss, India posted an enterprising total of 416. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored wonderful centuries, respectively, to help India dominate the English bowling. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was haunted by his own indecision in the first innings as he was played on while leaving a ball.
In reply, England’s batting got crumbled in front of the quality Indian pace attack. Only Jonny Bairstow looked in full control with the bat as the right-handed batter smashed a century. However, he didn’t get enough support from the other end as England could only manage 284 runs in the first innings.
India began their 2nd innings with a 132-run lead in their hand. However, they lost Shubman Gill and Hanuma Vihari early in the innings.
Virat Kohli fails to convert another start
The former Indian skipper joined Cheteshwar Pujara in the middle and began his knock with an attacking approach. However, soon he started to play bowling according to its merit. He reached 20 runs off 39 deliveries and stitched a 32-run partnership with Cheteshwar Pujara.
However, on the 5th delivery of the 30th over, Ben Stokes delivered a jaffa to dismiss Virat Kohli. The ball kicked off the length with venom to take Virat’s edge where the Keeper Sam Billings dropped the catch. However, Joe Root was alert in the middle and he completed the catch on the rebound.
The fans called their favourite superstar unlucky and soon reacted in a sad manner.

Virat Kohli needs to go back to playing domestic cricket to gain back his form. He is clearly struggling to convert his starts into big scores, an art that he used to master at one point in his career. Sad to see him like this.#INDvsENG #ViratKohli
