T20 World Cup 2022: 3 changes India should make against Bangladesh

India's poor performance against South Africa raised concerns.

3. Yuzvendra Chahal in place of Ravichandran Ashwin

In the first three matches, India have preferred veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin over the leg-spin of Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI. The move made a lot of sense against South Africa given the number of left-handers they have in their playing XI.

Ravi Ashwin is not exactly an attacking option in the middle overs. The veteran offie has bagged three wickets in three matches but he focuses more on staying economical. Ashwin did create chances against the Proteas but they were not grabbed by the Indian fielders.

While Ravi Ashwin hasn’t done much wrong, it is time for Team India to give Yuzvendra Chahal a go. The Adelaide Oval will suit Leggie’s bowling style and if he can find his rhythm, it will be a major boost for Men in Blue with the knockouts approaching.
