T20 World Cup 2022: 3 changes India should make against Bangladesh
India's poor performance against South Africa raised concerns.
2. Axar Patel in, Deepak Hooda out
India roped in Deepak Hooda in place of Axar Patel in their previous game against South Africa. The team management wanted to strengthen their batting unit against a fierce Proteas bowling attack. Also, South Africa had a number of left-handers in their squad. Hence, Axar would not have gotten many chances to bowl.
However, the move didn’t work as per plan and Deepak Hooda was dismissed for a three-ball duck against the Proteas. The skipper didn’t use his off-spinners either as Hardik Pandya bowled his full quota of four overs.
India don’t need an extra batting cushion against Bangladesh. Axar Patel’s bowling could also be a big plus at the Adelaide Oval in the assisting conditions. He will also provide an extra bowling option to the skipper while he is no mug with the bat.
