T20 World Cup 2021: Aakash Chopra faces flak from Indian fans after predicting England and Pakistan as finalists

England entered the tournament as one of the favourites.

Team India are in all sorts of trouble especially after losing back-to-back games in the T20 World Cup 2021. They lost to Pakistan in their first game and after that, they lost to New Zealand in their second game of the competition. It is indeed hard to believe Indian players losing two consecutive games in the most important tournament.

The Men in Blue locked horns with England and Australia in the warm-up game. They comfortably won both the games at ICC Academy Ground. Based on their gameplay and approach, India were considered as the favourites to win the title. However, things turned upside down after they locked horns with Pakistan.

The Babar Azam-led team won the game by 10 wickets. Eventually, Pakistan managed to beat India in a World Cup. During a must-win encounter against New Zealand, India failed to add runs on the board. They could garner only 110/7 in 20 overs. Kiwis won the game by 8 wickets with 33 balls to spare.

Aakash Chopra predicts the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2021

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra came up with his prediction for T20 World Cup 2021. Upon observing the form of top teams in the competition, the cricket expert feels England and Pakistan will go all the way to face each other in the finals. England and Pakistan are the only two unbeaten teams in the competition.

Both teams won three games in a row and Aakash Chopra believes these two teams are the finalists of T20 World Cup 2021. The former KKR player took to his official Twitter handle and wrote: “#Eng vs #Pak final loading…. #T20WorldCup.”

However, his prediction didn’t go down well with the Indian fans as they slammed him on Twitter. One user wrote: “You are an influencer and people see what you think and write here, so be ready to delete this tweet and apologize once India reach the final.”

Upon receiving negative reactions from the users on social media, Chopra came up with another tweet. He wrote: “Aapki language bhaisaab…????Aap ko ghar par tehzeeb toh sikhai hogi? Aur school-college toh gaye hi honge?I didn’t tell you what Mark Twain said that day…he said…‘It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
