Ryan Ryan is likely to replace Shivam Dube in the upcoming game. The Guwahati-born cricketer is yet to make his ODI debut for India and he will be looking forward to making his presence count if he is given the opportunity. Shivam Dube wasn’t quite impressive in the first two ODIs of the series.

The left-hander scored 25 of 24 balls, including one four and 2 sixes in the lower order and nearly guided the team to victory, but unfortunately he fell prey to Asalanka’s delivery. In the second ODI, he was promoted to bat at No.4 but was dismissed for a four ball duck. The Indian team management might contemplate giving Riyan Parag a chance to make his ODI debut on Wednesday.

3. Khaleel Ahmed in for Arshdeep Singh

India’s left-arm medium fast bowler Arshdeep Singh had a chance to steal the spotlight in the first ODI against Sri Lanka when India required just one run with 14 balls remaining. However, Ashdeep Singh failed to make a proper connection with the bat before he was trapped leg before wicket off Charith Asalanka’s delivery.

However, he was pretty good with the ball as he took two wickets in eight overs, giving away 47 runs at an economy of 5.90. In the second ODI, he went wicketless and conceded 58 runs at an economy of 6.40. Khalil Ahmed, who warmed the bench for the first two games could replace Ashdeep Singh in the third ODI. For the unversed, Khaleel Ahmed has played took 15 wickets in 11 ODIs at an economy of 5.81.
