Shaheen Shah Afridi discloses batter he found toughest to bowl to

There have always been mental battles between the bowler and the batsman during the passage of the play. While the bowler tries to get under the skin of the batsman by pitching the delivery at the right areas, the batsman finds a way to come out on top.

The bowler needs to maintain disciplinary bowling variations, despite getting hammered for a six or four, only then, he will be able to have the last laugh in the battle. The same theory goes with the batsman as he needs to be mentally prepared for anything to negate the bowling attack.

Over the years, the bowlers have revealed the names of the batters whom they found toughest to bowl to. Of course, even the top bowlers have found their task cut out while bowling to specific batters and did feel the heat against the run of play.

Shaheen Shah Afridi names the toughest batter he has bowled to

Pakistan’s premier paceman, Shaheen Shah Afridi has disclosed the name of the toughest batsman he has bowled to in his cricketing venture. When everyone expected him to pick Virat Kohli, the left-arm paceman named South Africa’s batting great Hashim Amla.

Amla is considered one of the toughest batsmen for bowlers to face during the heydays of his career. His potential to play long innings and garner runs consistently has made him a formidable opponent for bowlers. Shaheen Afridi, during a live interaction on X, said, “Hashim Amla is the toughest batter I have bowled to in my career.”

For the record, the premier fast bowler has been able to dismiss him twice out of 113 deliveries that he has bowled to across three Tests, four T20Is and a lone appearance in a T20 franchise league game.
