SA vs IND 2023: India’s predicted XI for the first Test match against South Africa

Bowlers: Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Mukesh Kumar

As Mohamed Shami is already ruled out of the Test series due to injury, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar are likely to form the pace battery.

While Siraj and Bumrah are certain, Mukesh will face competition from Prasidh Krishna for the spot. Both the young pacers haven’t played many international games to allow comparison.

But if the recent form was to be taken into consideration, Mukesh would definitely win the race. He has played only one Test match for India till now and might get a couple more under his hat.
